Our Staff

Peter Stosius, our Managing Director, brings 49 years of experience in the Building & Construction Trade, establishing his first Company, Stosius Constructions Pty Ltd, 37 years ago. Peter is a Registered Builder for both Commercial and Domestic Construction and has been managing projects for both sectors for most of his adult life. Peter has a wealth of experience in all facets of the trade, strong interpersonal skills and high level customer focus.

John Stosius, the Company's second Director, is Peter's son and has worked beside his Father since 1996 where he commenced on site gaining valuable experience before helping take the reins in 2004. John's many diploma's and certificates include a Diploma of Applied Science Building Construction from RMIT, Certificates for all facets of site equipment operation, Certificate 3 Occupational Health & Safety and level 3 First Aid.

Stuart Jardine, our Senior Project Manager and Estimator, is highly regarded in the building industry. Stuart commenced part time with the Company while completing a degree in Building and Quantity Surveying at Melbourne University, He then went to full time after completion of his studies at the end of 1977. His 34 years experience in Commercial Construction includes Aged Care and Educational Facility's, Factory's and Synagogues. His Domestic portfolio boasts Architect Designed Homes and complete blocks of Units/Flats. Stuart's expertise is invaluable to this Company.

Mel Karaka, a qualified Carpenter/Joiner with over 42 years in the industry has been employed as Site Foreman/Administrator since early 2007. Mel is currently completing a Cert 4 in Training and Assessment and holds Level 2 First Aid and all applicable on site certificates and licenses.

Maurice Borin has sub-contracted to the Stosius Group on many Projects over the last 13.5 years. Maurice, a qualified Carpenter/Joiner, is a Registered Domestic Builder in his own right and his 31 years of experience in the trade has proved valuable. Maurice holds all required on site tickets and licences.

Dave Greenstreet commenced with the Company in Feb 2005. A qualified Carpenter who has gained experience working in both the UK and New Zealand prior to Australia, utilises his strong interpersonal skills in directing site staff, co-ordinating trades and liaising with Clients in his pivotal role as Foreman. Dave holds all applicable site tickets, including Level 2 First Aid, Red Card, Scaffolding and a Heavy Vehicle License.

Gino Serraglio, our Plant and Equipment Manager, commenced as a Labourer with the Company on 8th February, 1993. Gino holds licenses for the operation of all relevant site machinery and equipment and required certificate's, including Level 2 First Aid, Red Card, Scaffolding, Spotter, Traffic Management etc. Gino is also very handy behind the wheel of any of our fleet of trucks and light commercial vehicles.

Michael Lyons, our Health and Safety Manager, commenced full time as a labourer with Stosius and Staff Constructions in March, 2005 after sub-contracting to us via his family's landscaping business for some time prior to that. Michael's expertise in landscape gardening (including fencing and concreting) has proved to be a valuable asset to this Company. Michael holds all required commercial certificates and licenses, including scaffolding, Heavy Rigid Truck License and also Certificate 3 Occupational Health and Safety, Level 2 First Aid and Traffic Management.

AdministrationStaff : Stosius and Staff Constructions employ three admin staff members including Christina Cowman who has been with the Company since 1983, initially as Bookkeeper and more recently as Personal Assistant to Peter Stosius, Chris' knowledge of the business is second to none. Our Bookkeeping needs have been serviced for the past 10 years by Maree Wilson, who utilises her 38 years experience in paying our Creditors, preparing our Claims and Debtors Invoices and ensuring a smooth cash flow. Our Office is ably fronted by Olga Zrimsek whose cheerful and friendly demeanour has greeted callers for the past 18 months. Olga also takes care of most of our correspondence and administrative needs.
